    These kids are so real!

    • This entire series is amazing. I have a great deal of respect for traditionally trained artists. I look forward to the day when I can afford to purchase art of this caliber and style. Though I love my own paintings, they are often not nice to look at.

    • I am extremely impressed with the realism in this series. My painting training is very limited and I do not possess the skill or patience to create this quality of work on a regular basis.

  2. Thank you all. I was a little apprehensive about doing this series but my heart felt like I should say something. These kids are really so beautiful and I had to paint them not smiling as they all had on smiles. I hoped they wouldn’t look too sad but mostly afraid, like us, afraid to say the wrong thing. Let’s keep up the fight for our rights to free speech and freedom of religion.

    • This is so well stated Morgen, both visually and ideologically. As a mother, I fear for the future our children will inherit on this current path to servitude manufactured by the very people who should be upholding our liberties. I believe this striking series is an important aesthetic representation of our fears and our hopes for a better future. These portraits are very strong and convey the message well.
