Snook On

Snook On

This piece will represent a new line of my stained glass pictures. It’s going to be called “The Fish Dimension” line. I had a little help with the name by my creative sister Susan Bellavance. What is happening within this dynamic piece of art are appearance changes between the light of day and night. The scape is, of course, three dimensional with the body of the fish split above and below the water. The fishing pole is made from a piece of bamboo that grows at the “The Clay Place” here in Naples Fl, along with some colored thread stolen from my wife’s sewing box. The guides on the bamboo came from a fish pole found in a trash can. The lure was found on one of our beautiful beaches, wherein I removed the treble hooks and made it a safer version. The window frame was salvaged from a home in Sunapee NH.

Exquisitely superb! Much artistic trickery, depth, movement, excellent! From conception to execution,it is a thrilling piece to me! There is something about breaking the plane, where the fish comes into your life. It is just so creative I can’t get over it. I love this artist. He is a creative genius and a wonderful soul and he is my brother. Who knew?

Thank you my dear sister! Now if I could only cajole you into writing a poem for my fish, we would have a collaboration!
